When a Sickle Cell Disease diagnosis leaves a messy mark on the Blank Page, it wonders if any beauty can come from it. With the guidance of a mentor, "the Teacher Page," the Blank page finds hope.
This book, along with the concluding activity guide which includes 10+ therapeutic activities to further coping, helps children learn about Sickle Cell disease in a child-friendly manner, fostering a greater sense of empowerment and courage.

The Blank Page books are such a valuable resource for child life specialists, caregivers, teachers, and more. Providing children with an interactive and developmentally appropriate way to learn about a new diagnosis makes it less scary and easier to understand. I am confident that these books will help children gain control of their illness (while also having fun!)

This product teaches so much about sickle cell disease. I think one of the best part is how this book shows family and friends how enter in the hard parts. This book offers so much guidance emotionally to the patient, it truly shows them how to be strong during such an unfortunate diagnosis. It’s colorful, it’s creative, it’s heartfelt and explained eloquently.
These books are lovely - simple and forthright about the diseases and how they impact the body, but also easy for kids to access and understand. The activities allow kids to process and fully comprehend their illness and are engaging and purposeful.
