About Allie and Child Life To Go

Allie Jones lives in St. Louis, MO, with her husband and two precious boys. They enjoy long walks, playdates, dinner with friends, and staying active with sports. In her private sessions or even social media platform, Allie emphasizes play, humor, and teaching visuals as core values.
"Allie, can you help this child learn about his new diagnosis?"

"The parents don't know what to say to their teen. We need a child life specialist."

Some of the favorite calls I received during my 10 years as a Certified Child Life Specialist were to support patients and families through diagnosis education and therapeutic support.

I never imagined that one day my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education would be the perfect complement to my master’s degree in counseling and Child Life certification.

I'm on a mission to help families and child life specialists deliver the words and tools to cope with illness, loss, or medical events.

Too often in hospitals, overworked child life specialists need reliable, easy to access resources to give to overwhelmed parents facing a new diagnosis of self or loved ones.

Perhaps you are a child life specialist in need of grab-and-go children's books or resources to give to your patients and families that include bedside activities.

Or maybe you're a parent seeking tools to support your children or teens to help them understand a medical event, illness, or loss.

No matter who you are, Child Life To Go provides affordable resources that give you the words to explain illness and medical stressors in terms children can understand. Each resource includes an activity guide that encourages emotional expression and develops coping skills.

Also, private sessions with me are available for children, teens or parents to receive customized care in their unique journey. I provide nationwide support through virtual sessions, as well as in-person sessions in beautiful St. Louis, Missouri!

Confusing and anxiety-producing Googling isn't helpful. Instead, I’ll share the important steps you need to take to feel empowered and hopeful.
